With over 30 years of devoted service, Chief Slavin has been a pivotal figure in guiding the Cheltenham Township Police Department.

 

Township officials have launched a nationwide search for a new chief, seeking someone who reflects Chief Slavin’s commitment and expertise.

 

Matthew Areman, president of the Board of Commissioners, emphasized the need for a successor who values both law enforcement skills and community engagement.

 

Since joining the department in 1989, Chief Slavin climbed the ranks, becoming chief in 2022 and ensuring the department’s long-standing accreditation.
